The correct condition of the grains is fundamental for their further milling. The main objective of the grain cleaning process is the separation and removal of foreign particles and the dampening of grains.
When designing each of the machines that belong to the cleaning process, Prillwitz takes into account its cost-benefit ratio, thus designing machines that are highly efficient in both cost and energy. Consecuently, our cleaning and pre-cleaning system will never be integrated with redudant equipment.
There is not a unique machine capable of performing the whole cleaning process in one stage, but several machines that in a consecutive way are intended to clean the grains. According to this, we can classify those stages into different categories:
Preliminar cleaning: it is the cleaning process performed before sending the grains to the mill.
First cleaning: it is the first cleaning process performed once in the mill, and previous to the damping of the grains.
Second cleaning: it is the cleaning process implemented once the grains have been dampened. Among the machines used in this stage one can find the Scourer whose main task consist in detaching small husks already loosen in the tempering bins. Scourers along with dehuskers contribute significantly to avoid contamination.
RSA Screener was designed for cleaning cereals and other products, allowing a precise removal of husks and foreign particles. The machine features two superimpossed sifters, detaching de upper one the coarse elements and the lower … Read more
The DPR gravity stoner has been designed for the splitting of light and heavy wheat fractions, the separation of stones and other light specific weight materials and the partial elimination of dust and other impurities. … Read more
The scourer (also called magnetic detacher) is used to clean out small particles – such as husk, dust and sand – attached to the wheat grain surface. It delivers the product ready and apt to … Read more
The SDA Grain Classifier has been specially designed to separate grains according to shape and size. It precisely classifies a wide variety of grains, including different types of the same seed. The rotating discs are … Read more
To properly moisten grains prior to mill and sift them is essential. It can be done in two stages: in a first stage the water is added to be, in a second stage, mixed with … Read more
The DMB Volumetric Measurer is used to extract hourly constant volumes of grain from cereal silos.By placing several measurers under different silos it is possible to achieve quite precise mixtures. The DMB measuring machine works … Read more
The SIGMA Hammer Mill has been designed to provide high versatility and efficiency during the milling process. The hammermill has a grinding chamber with interchangeable blades and a vast sifting area given by a special … Read more
